Cookes Thatch Bar is one of Galway's oldest pubs. We are located in the West end of Galway City a 5 minute walk from the centre of the City. Cookes has been welcoming customers through its doors for hundreds of years. 

At Cookes you have three bar areas to choose from, the main bar located under the Thatch roof, our comfortable snug bar and the spacious lounge. 

The Wednesday Night Session 

We also have a comfortable smoking area and large beer garden with lots of seating.

All sporting events can be seen on our big screen TV's 

Live music can be heard at Cookes  Wednesday to Sunday  and don't forget drink promos on mondays.
